On July 2,in Zhengzhou, the 8th Henan Professional Dance Competition were held jointly by the Henan Provincial Culture Department, the Provincial Culture Federation and the Provincial Education Department. Dream Mulan by Jin Geng-xuan, a teacher of our school, won the first prize of the modern dance group. The three-person dance work Crane flute by Li Jingjing won the first prize of the group of solo dance, double dance and three-person dance in Colleges level. Li Ming and Li Jingjing won the first prize of the dance review prize and the first prize of the contest.As the Top team, our school won the excellent organization award.

Henan professional dance competition is held every three years, the highest event in Henan dance world. The teams include professional institutes and universities in the whole province. The competition received 155 submissions, after the preliminary evaluation of the jury, a total of 39 participating units of 89 works into the semi-final live performance. During the five-day competition, the dance works from colleges and universities have been highly praised by the jury for their creative creation and exhibition. It is a concentrated exhibition of dance art in Henan colleges and universities in the past three years. Feng Shuangbai, chairman of the Chinese Dancers Association, said that the Henan Dance Competition showed diversity and many highlights, which is a concentrated reflection of the fruitful achievements of Henan dance circles in the past three years.
