   兰州大学博士,博士生导师,二级教授,国务院政府特殊津贴专家,教育部生物科学类专业教学指导委员会委员,教育部“国培计划”首席专家,教育部本科教学审核评估专家、教育部师范专业认证专家、教育部学位与研究生教育发展中心(教育部学位中心)同行评议专家,全国科学技术名词审定委员会委员,国家自然科学基金同行评议专家。全国模范教师,首届全国教育硕士优秀教师,首届河南省教学名师,中国动物学会第二届青年科技奖获得者,河南省学术与技术带头人,河南省优秀青年科技专家,河南省高等教育教学工作先进个人。中国大百科全书、中国物种红色名录特邀编委等。

   主持淡水涡虫国家自然科学基金面上项目5项,国家科技部重点项目专题、教育部高等学校博士点基金、教育部教师教育改革项目、河南省重大公益项目、河南省杰出青年基金、河南省高校创新人才基金等20余项;在SCI源期刊等发表学术论文80余篇;主持获得国家教学成果二等奖2项,国家精品课程、国家教学团队、国家教师教育实验教学示范中心、国家虚拟仿真实验教学项目等国家质量工程项目4项。获教育部自然科学二等奖、河南省科技进步三等奖、河南省教学成果特等奖等9项;获国家发明专利1项;在科学出版社、高等教育出版社、中国大百科全书出版社等出版著作教材6部。主讲《普通动物学》、《中国淡水涡虫》、《高级动物学》等本科生、硕士生和博士生课程。

研究领域:

    1986年开始从事无脊椎动物学的教学和科学研究工作,1997年开始从事中国淡水涡虫研究。主要研究方向:“中国淡水涡虫资源保护利用以及涡虫再生分子机理”。

  中国动物学会副理事长,中国进出口生物安全学会副会长,国际生物科学联合会中国全国委员会(China National Committee for International Union of Biological Sciences,CCIUBS)委员,中国生态学会动物生态专业委员会委员,全国高等学校教学研究会理事,河南省动物学省级重点学科开放实验室主任,省、部共建细胞分化调控国家重点实验室副主任。
